This simple chevron scarf makes great use of variegated yarns that have long colour repeats.
The pattern is written giving two widths for the scarf. The larger width requires more yarn. The pattern uses about 100 to 125 grams of fingering or sport weight yarn.
The scarf ends begin with a garter stitch mitred square. Stitches are then picked up along the non cast-on edges of the square and the chevrons are worked toward the middle of the scarf. Stitches from both ends of the scarf are then put on the needles and a garter stitch triangle is made to join the two sides together.
